On your team, who do you think is most likely to use a GIF as a response?

Today, we are talking about how to make awards/recognition ceremonies really fun.

My name is Sam Pearce. I work with Canada’s top brands to create incredible virtual events that connect their teammates from the comfort of their couches.

One of the really fun things that I’ve seen some of my clients do is to make their award ceremony fun. There’s no need for trophies or plaques or any of the typical things you would associate with awards. We can just make it flat-out fun.

One of the things that we’ve done, this was during a holiday party for Sobeys, a grocery store here in Canada, they elected some of their executives and the formats of the award/recognition ceremony is who is the most likely to do something and so their executive team nominated a bunch of their teammates and we had a blast. So there were categories like Most Likely to Say, “Sorry, Not Sorry,” and then we would announce the winner to that.

Another really fun category was Who is the Most Likely to Talk to their Pet While Being Un-Muted on a Video Call? We also had, Who is the Most Likely to Join a Video Call with a Shirt, Tie and No Pants? Another really fun one is Who is Most Likely to Feel that Being on Time is Actually a Little Bit Late? And, of course, the one that I mentioned right off the top, Who’s the Most Likely to Use a GIF as a response?

So by mixing things up, instead of doing the highest sales awards or best customer service, although those are very important and can be fun as well, try mixing it up by having some fun with some Most Likely awards during your next virtual meeting!
